We Are Waltham Forest Pride have announced the line-up for this year’s celebration on Saturday 27 July 2019.

0900: For those who want to blow away the cobwebs with a 5k run, Walthamstow Park Run will be awash with rainbows as they celebrate Pride with a special WF Pride run. Pride costumes encouraged!

1000: Pride Brunch, served up by El Food Brothers at the William the Fourth in Leyton. 816 High Road, Leyton. E10 6AE.

1100: Pavement Parade sets off from the Baker’s Arms, Leyton and makes its way up Hoe Street to Walthamstow Town Square.

2100 – 0300: The Victoria, 186 Hoe Street, E17 4QH. Free entry. In excess of 15 drag acts/performers along with DJ Matt on the decks deliver an evening of camp excess.

2100 – late: Dalston Superstore legends Mints descend on this legendary boozer for what promises to be an unforgettable night of queer fun featuring the Mints Dance Troupe. Free entry. William the Fourth, 816 High Road, Leyton. E10 6AE.

The We Are Waltham Forest Pride committee is made up entirely of volunteers, all giving their time for free and dedicated to making this year’s Pride an unforgettable day for the entire community.

Stella Creasy will stand for reselection as Labour Parliamentary Candidate

Stella Creasy, Walthamstow's current MP, has confirmed she will stand again to be reselected by the local party to be Labour's Parliamentary Candidate at the next General Election, whenever that may be.

The Labour Party recently announced it would start the process of reselection across all Labour held seats in the prospect of a possible early election this autumn, following the election of the new Tory leader, and expected Prime Minister (short of a major constitutional surprise).
