Stella invites Cressida to E17

Walthamstow MP Stella Creasy invited Cressida Dick, The Metropolitan Police Commissioner, to come to our community and take part in a discussion with local residents yesterday.

This was a chance for residents and community group representatives to speak directly to the person with overall responsibility for policing and resourcing decisions in London. We also heard from the projects and groups working with young people in Walthamstow about their work and how residents can support them as well as local young residents themselves. Given the recent horrific attack on a police officer in Leyton this meeting was also a chance to show our appreciation to our local police for their work in our community too. The meeting was open to all Walthamstow residents who registered with their valid address from the electoral register.
