The Boundary Commission has published its final recommendations for new electoral arrangements for Waltham Forest Council. These may come into effect for the 2022 local elections. More at 700forwalthamstow

Ballot for the NEC vacancies: starts 19 October, ends 12 November

 As part of the process to decide the names for the NEC OMOV ballot Walthamstow Labour Party recently held an online meeting and ballot of its General Committee. The outcome of that was to nominate the following candidates:

Labour Party members in Walthamstow can expect their ballot papers to be emailed to them in the next few days. They have until 12 November to cast their votes. Those who share an email address with another eligible member, or have not supplied an email address will receive their ballot by post.

Members who joined on or before 24 August 2020 are eligible to participate in the elections, provided their membership was fully paid-up by midnight on Monday 19 October.

Members will only receive a ballot for the elections they are eligible to participate in. A full list of which ballots are open and the eligibility requirements is on the FAQs page here.

Any member who has not received their ballot by Monday 26 October, should get in touch using the online form to request a reissue or ask any other questions. Requests cannot be reissued before this date.

  • Deadline to request postal reissue – Thursday 5 November
  • Deadline to request email reissue with the Labour Party – Monday 9 November
  • Deadline to request email reissue via self-service portal – Thursday 12 November
  • Close of ballot – Thursday 12 November, noon
