Selection2014 - apply by 28 June

The Selection2014 process is under way and all Labour Party members in Waltham Forest with a valid email address have had an invitation to apply to be considered as potential Labour Party council candidates for the local elections next year. The application deadline is June 28th. Members for whom no working email address is currently held will get an invitation by post in the next day or two. It is expected the assessment interviews for members who have applied will take place during July, and for there to be further meetings and events over the summer to encourage members applying to become candidates. The ward selections from those who pass the assessment will begin in September/October. The autumn will also see a process of consultation about the Labour Manifesto for the Borough. All members will be invited to contribute their thoughts on a number of policy issues and proposals.
