The National Policy Forum of the Labour Party is now consulting on seven priority issues for policy development. Each of these is being led by a Policy Commission whose members are drawn from the Shadow Cabinet, National Executive Committee and the National Policy Forum. Members are invited to post comments on the website and these will be discussed at the full National Policy Forum meeting in July. Below are links for each commission. The seven Policy Commissions are:
- Economy Policy Commission - ‘Building a Productive Economy’
- Communities Policy Commission - ‘How can we increase the number of affordable homes to rent and buy?’
- Health & Policy Care Commission - ‘Mental Health: The Way Forward’
- Children & Education Policy Commission -‘Delivering a step change in early interventions and the early years’
- Home Affairs Policy Commission - ‘How should we reform the police to better tackle the crime and policing challenges of the future?’
- Transport Policy Commission - ‘How can we ensure our transport networks meet the needs of local communities?’
- International Policy Commission - ‘Britain’s defence and security priorities’
