Leafleting to highlight Waltham Forest Credit Union

On Friday 21 January at 12pm we will be leafleting outside our local high cost credit companies to highlight the alternative choice of the Waltham Forest Credit Union. 


All are welcome to join us in the St James Street end of Walthamstow High Street.

• Tuesday 18 January attending the Public Accounts Committee to examine productivity in the NHS, and the Backbench Business Committee to urge the government to give time for a vote on capping the cost of unsecured lending.
• Wednesday 19 January attending the Public Accounts Committee to look into government departments’ accountability to parliament, and helping organise a vote in the House of Commons against the Government’s decision to scrap Educational Maintenance Allowances (see below).
•  Friday 21 January leafleting to promote the Waltham Forest Community Credit Union outside Walthamstow’s high street payday lending companies. Please do join us at 11am in St James Street to help.

• Tuesday 21 December hoping to ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer about the impact of his cuts on families in Walthamstow and supporting the Television and Radio Advertising (Credit and Debt Management Services) bill

Walthamstow Labour Party's Festive (and family friendly) Fundraiser Sunday 19 December

At The Welcome Centre, Walthamstow Village 3-6pm 

Special guests: Tessa Jowell MP & Vernon Coaker MP!  Join us on Sunday 19 December at the Welcome Centre in Walthamstow village next to St Mary's Church for a festive afternoon of fun and fundraising for Labour! All are welcome at this event which is in a venue just three minutes walk from Walthamstow Central Station.

Our special guests are the Rt Hon Tessa Jowell MP, Labour's Spokesperson on the Olympics, and Vernon Coaker MP, Shadow Police Minister. There'll be activities for children of all ages including facepainting and party games as well as musical performances and of course lots of festive food!

Tickets are £12 in advance (£15 on the door), £8 for OAPs and unwaged and £3 each for under 11s - or you can buy a family ticket for just £25!
