The process to review all the parliamentary constituency boundaries (such as Walthamstow) in England is under way, and aims to complete in time for the planned general election in May 2015. It is quite possible for the current parliament not to last that long, in which case the changes might be dropped. However the first draft of details of proposed changes will be published next Tuesday, 13th September and you will be able to see the initial proposed effects in Walthamstow, and nearby. They will be available on the Boundary Commission for England website. (This link takes you to the London pages.)
The Commission will be holding five public hearings in the London region and you will be able to register in September 2011:
- Monday 17 to Tuesday 18 October in the London Borough of Kensington and Chelsea at the Holiday Inn Kensington Forum, 97 Cromwell Road, London SW7 4DN
- Thursday 20 to Friday 21 October in the London Borough of Brent at the Brent Town Hall, Forty Lane, Wembley, Middlesex HA9 9HD
