Women's Campaigning Session Walthamstow Town Centre Saturday 11 June 2016 12.30pm
Hello. There are a million more women than men eligible to take part in the European Referendum- and women are much more likely than men to be undecided. This Saturday 11th June 2016 at 12.30pm please join me and special guests in Walthamstow working to ensure women in our community play a key role in the outcome of this vital vote!
You don't need any previous experience of campaigning to be able to help with this activity and all women of all ages who support the campaign to stay in the European Union are welcome - we will starting the day by holding a street stall in Walthamstow outside Selbourne Walk Shopping Centre (The Mall) from 12.30pm to talk to local residents about this Referendum, before having a social event at 2pm with tea and cake at Le Delice cafe on Hoe Street where you can meet other women interested in supporting this campaign to discuss how we can make the winning case in Walthamstow for Britain to remain in the European Union. To help us plan to get the best of out your time please reply to this email to let us know if you can join us either on the street stall or at Le Delice.
With jobs, national security, rights at work as well as action on international poverty and climate change at stake - it is crucial women's voices are not sidelined in a decision which will determine the longterm future of our nation. Hope you can join us on Saturday to ensure women in Walthamstow are leading the fight for a better future for everyone as part of the European Union.
Best wishes
Stella Creasy, Labour and Cooperative MP for Walthamstow p.s. If you can't make Saturday but want to help the campaign for Britain to stay in the European Union please do get in touch with Ella our amazing CLP organiser! |
